“If a human life is described with enough particularity, the universal will begin to speak through it… the yearning for human emancipation that stirs within us all."

– Yoshino, K. (2006). Covering: The hidden assault on our civil rights (p. 185).

Our Vision sets the destination

We envision a world free from oppression. A liberated society without anti-Black racism or prisons, where Black LGBTQ individuals can thrive, heal, and joyfully express their gender, identity, sexuality, and love.

Our Mission charts the course

Our mission is to uplift and empower justice-impacted Black LGBTQ individuals through holistic, affirming support. We champion healing, rehabilitation, and freedom by improving education, advancing research, shaping policy, advocating for systemic change, and delivering transformative programming.

Our Mandate paves the path

We are committed to improving justice outcomes and advancing the health, wellness, and economic empowerment of Black LGBTQ communities. We work to enhance legal rights, promote self-determination, and drive systemic change through public education, social justice advocacy, and tailored initiatives that foster equity and awareness.
