Black LGBTQ Justice Canada’s initiatives span across legislative, policy, community-led, and educational domains. These include the comprehensive implementation of Certified Expert in Black LGBTQ Affirming Assessment Reports (BLGBTQAAR), intersectionality expanding Black LGBTQ justice impacted culturally appropriate re-entry mentoring programs, and fostering robust community-led initiatives, for justice stakeholders, and prioritizing disaggregated data collection. Employing a Black LGBTQ Justice Affirming Intersectionality analysis (BLGBTQJAI), Black LGBGTQ Justice Canada, applies a multidisciplinary intersectional mode of analysis of how BLGBTQ justice issues affect people at the intersections of race, sexuality, and gender identity, recognizing that problems and solutions rarely arise within a single disciplinary domain.
